The Shephard Group, a leading international independent B2B publisher in the aerospace and defence sector, is seeking a production editor/sub-editor to handle editorial and advertising production and layout work on its range of magazines and handbooks.

The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre, with at least one year’s experience of using InDesign in a commercial publishing environment. They should be familiar with other Adobe CS packages, PDF-based workflows and MS Office. They must possess strong organisational and communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail and a firm grasp of the English language, as copy-editing and proof-reading will be an important part of the job. The role involves a varied workload across multiple titles, so flexibility and adaptability are also key attributes.

The post is full-time and will be based in our modern Slough offices, although occasional overseas travel may be involved. Starting salary is in the £18-23k range, depending on skills and experience. The company offers benefits including healthcare and pension schemes.
